Cracked Render Repairs

Cracks in render can appear due to movement, shrinkage, impact, moisture or deterioration in the underlying surface. We assess the type and condition of the crack before recommending a suitable repair method.

Loose or Drummy Render Repairs

Loose or hollow-sounding render may indicate that the render has separated from the surface beneath. We assess the affected area and repair damaged sections to help restore a more stable finish.

Patch Render Repairs

Patch repairs may be needed where render has chipped, broken away or been damaged by impact, moisture or previous works. We repair affected areas and work to blend the finish with the surrounding surface where possible.

Our Render Repair Services

Render Repair Solutions for Common Surface Issues

Rendered surfaces are exposed to weather, moisture, movement and everyday wear. Austech Cement repairs damaged render by assessing the surface, identifying likely causes where possible, and applying a practical repair method suited to the condition of the area.

Signs of Damage

Signs Your Render Needs Repair

Render damage can start as a small visual issue but may worsen if moisture, movement or surface failure is left untreated. It may be time to organise an inspection if you notice:

Cracks in rendered walls or facades

Loose, hollow or drummy render

Bubbling, blistering or lifting render

Chipped, broken or missing render

Staining, discolouration or moisture marks

Render pulling away from the surface

Surface flaking or powdery areas

Cracks around windows, doors, edges or joints

Previous repairs that are failing or becoming visible

Why Early Repairs Matter

Why Render Repairs Should Be Done Early

Damaged render can allow moisture to enter the surface beneath, leading to further deterioration, staining and repair costs over time. Early render repairs can help protect the property, maintain appearance and reduce the chance of more extensive remedial work being required later.

Austech Cement focuses on practical repair solutions that address the visible damage while considering the condition of the surface underneath. This helps create a cleaner, more durable result.

Our Process

Our Render Repair Process

From surface assessment to final blending, we take a practical approach to repairing damaged render.

Step 1

Surface Assessment

We inspect the damaged render and assess the type of issue, including cracking, loose render, bubbling, moisture damage or surface deterioration.

Step 2

Preparation & Removal

Where required, damaged, loose or failing render is removed or prepared so the repair can be applied to a sound surface.

Step 3

Render Repair Application

We apply a suitable render repair method based on the condition of the surface, the type of damage and the desired finish.

Step 4

Finish & Blend

Where possible, we blend the repaired area with the existing render texture and surrounding surface for a cleaner, more consistent result.

The best place to start is a conversation. Tell us about your car, what you’re thinking and where you want to take it. We’ll give you honest advice on the most practical next step, whether it’s servicing, repairs, diagnostics, restoration support or a larger custom build.

  • What types of cars does Viking Hotrods work on?

Viking Hotrods works on pre-1990 vehicles, including hot rods, classic cars, muscle cars, customs, restomods and older project vehicles. We focus on cars that need experienced hands, practical workshop knowledge and respect for the way older vehicles are built.
